Full Moon
First time in my life, I got this close to the moon. Thanks to My Nikon D50 and the tele lens. After many tries with different lenses and exposure settings, I was able to get some good frames. This is one of them. It is the moon of 14th of Ramadan. As some of you may know that, Islamic Hijri calander is a lunar calander, and the new month starts after the first sighting of the moon. It becomes a full moon on the 14th of the month.
Interestingly enough I did not have to use a tripod.
Moon is mentioned in Quran at least 28 times. Here is one verse. To see all the others click on the link below.
13:2 Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.
